i was editing images for a client this weekend and i came across this image and it reminded me of the magic of childhood. as a mama to four i’m all too familiar with the little gifts children bring home: rocks, dandelions, acorns, a feather. you name it, i’ve probably received it. those little bits and bobs are absolutely magical to a child and are often a truly heartfelt offering. when i saw this image it reminded me that i need to slow down, i need to take the time to see the world through the magical eyes of childhood. when was the last time you slowed down enough to savor the way that glass of wine tasted, to inwardly laugh at the funny things your child says, to marvel at the speed with which clouds move on a windy day, or the way the light dances through the trees? make some time to collect autumn leaves or acorns, make time to enjoy a cup of coco topped with marshmallows, make a little time to be a kid again.
