Remember the sweet little newborn session I showed last week? There was one shot in particular that the mama had asked for and they ended up a bit blurry with sweet little G moving a bit so I went back last Saturday and we tried again. I’m so glad I went back because I love, love, love this image:

Meet sweet baby G. You may remember her mama’s maternity session from earlier this summer. Little miss made her appearance on the 4th of July, 5 weeks early. She is the sweetest, most content baby and I know mama, daddy, and her big brothers are all very excited she’s here.

1. I recently discovered Three Potato Four and they have the cutest things ever. I love this card catalog end table.
2. This photo just screams summer to me. Maybe I need to get a cute bike with a basket on front to help me better embrace summer…
3. Do you remember recipe boxes? As a kid I remember my aunts, my mom, my grandmother, they all had one stuffed to the gills with handwritten recipes on recipe cards and scraps of paper. Saw these recipe boxes and I’m inspired to actually sit down and organize my recipes and maybe even write down the stuff I make that doesn’t have a recipe (just in case a certain husband was inspired to get in the kitchen cook).
4. Appreciate good design? This mini documentary on Roman and Williams is worth watching.
5. I’m so impressed and inspired by this Michigan teen running a small CSA from her backyard garden.

I photographed this sweet family earlier this year for a personal photography project and then again recently for a fun summer afternoon lifestyle session that involved a picnic and playing in the fountains. It was a fun session and I had such a great time watching this sweet family play together. W family, I’m sorry to see you leaving Baton Rouge but I hope these photographs will help you fondly remember your time here!

ok peoples of the interwebs, i’m going all out this week with 11 (e-l-e-v-e-n) things i’m loving now. click ‘em, read ‘em and don’t forget to leave a comment and let me know what you’re loving this week.

1. if you know me you know i am a die hard apple ~~fan~~ devotee. saw this article with 10 awesome ipod decals loved them.

2. this attic is divine. i want one just like it for my office.

3. have you seen the awkward family photos site? hilarious. in need of a laugh? checkout this family photo.

4. i love all the vintage glassware at jadeite kate.

5. zucchini mint pesto. it has pistachios rather than pine nuts, garlic, mint and zucchini in it. sounds like heaven.

6. meet constance. cutest camper caravan thing ever.

7. this tourist lane in nyc. and yes, i know, it was only improv but i still love the idea.

8. these rocking chairs for children are the cutest!

9. these water-colored pages. this one is my fave.

10. afternoon thunderstorms. except when i have an afternoon session scheduled.

11. this cafe. i’m thinking this looks like the perfect spot to spend a kid-free afternoon absorbed in a book.
